CLS Files
A CLS file is a spaces-delimited text file that defines the class of each sample in the expression data file:
- The first line of the CLS file contains three values: the number of samples, the number of classes,
and the version number of file format (always 1).
- The second line begins with a pound sign (#) followed by a name for each class.
- The last line contains a class label for each sample. The number and order of the labels
must match the number and order of the samples in the expression data set.
The class labels are sequential numbers (0, 1, ...) automatically
assigned to each class listed in the second line.
Use any text editor to create the CLS file. See File Formats
for complete descriptions of all GenePattern file formats.
